PRIVACY POLICY NOTICE
In the following notice, the term "Credit Union" applies to FedONE Federal Credit Union and the term "you" refers to members of FedONE Federal Credit Union (as described in it's Bylaws) and joint account holders in any FedONE account or service.
The purpose of this notice is to make you aware of the type of information that is collected, stored and shared about you. Nonpublic personal information is information about you that the Credit Union cannot obtain through a public source. The Credit Union collects nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms
- Information about your transactions with us or others
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law. Even if you terminate your membership or become an inactive member, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.
The Credit Union restricts access to your personal and account information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. The Credit Union maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
The Credit Union encourages you to voice any concerns you may have about your privacy at the Credit Union.

In order to open or change an account, add a signer, or make an application for any services.
Federal Law
(USA Patriot Act of 2001)
Now requires us to obtain and retain photo identification for identity verification purposes.
The Uniting and strengthening of America by providing appropriate tools required to intercept obstruct terrorism (USA Patriot Act of 2001), requires financial Institutions to take steps to obtain and verify certain identifying information for any person used to verify the persons identity; and determine whether the person appears on any list of suspected terrorists provided by the Federal Government.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, Identity theft is the fastest-growing crime in the country. Our ability to feel safe is becoming more difficult with terrorism and crime on a steady increase. The USA Patriot Act has paved the way for financial institutions to help prevent fraud, identity theft, and the spread of terrorism. It requires financial institutions to obtain more information form an individual or legal entity to help establish identity.
Your cooperation is needed when you open a new account or request a loan. You may be asked more questions to establish and confirm your identity. It may also be required for you to provide one or more forms of identification.
